Bucs Training Camp

Day one was Saturday and there were two different camps that Ryan and I attended (Eric was with us too). In the morning we honestly didn't know what to expect and what to see so we moved seats a lot, not sure where to be to get the best look at the team. Let's just say we moved around a lot Saturday morning. Oh and you may see that most of my pics are of the cheerleaders and I would apologize for that but I don't think you guys give a damn. Day one's night practice was at Raymond James, that was sweet.

Day two was Monday. We went out again with Eric and this time had a good sense of where to move to follow the team as they made their way around through drills. Day two was the best so far that we've seen out of the QBs.

Now, Ryan and I are going to training camp today as well, right before the radio show. We've gathered quite a bit of info on the Bucs (namely QBs) as we've been studying the hell out of them. If you want to hear what we discovered on day 1, 2 and 3, you'll have to tune in to the Fantasy Football Outlaws at 4pm today! Or, listen to our podcast because the moment our show if finished, it will be available.

Now, to the pictures from Day 1 & 2:

Ok, so before this picture I gotta say, in between camps we decided to go play a round of golf. This is Ryan shooting for par on a par 3 hole on the back 9.

Now this is the 2nd camp, same day as the first. Open to the public at Raymond James.

Head Coach Raheem Morris:

This one's Michael Clayton after making a very nice catch over the middle, he then made a move that left 3 defenders well behind him:

Any cadillac sightings? I heard he is doing very well in his recovery?

Caddy looked very good, Bull. The strongest part of our team is easily the RB core. That's not a shocker, I know, hell we've been saying that all offseason. However for info regarding the Bucs and what we saw... tune in to the show :trampolin

They (my company) did, or have tried to... but no one can keep a Florida girl away from her roots for long! I can't wait to get to Bucs Training Camp and enjoy all the sites first hand.

I missed the show fellas... can I get a quick summary of your impressions? In honor of the show, I promise to listen to Coheed & Cambria while reading your response.

LMFAO! Coheed ftw!!!

Well, on defense it's pretty much what we were afraid of: Jermaine Phillips doesn't look like a LB. He cannot get off of blocks and whenever an OL got their hands on him they moved him wherever they liked. Scary.

RBs are strong. Ward is the front runner with Graham being right behind him. Look for them to get a 50/50-60/40 type of split on carries. We should see some Caddy, but no more than 5-10 carries any game.

WRs are set at least with Bryant and Clayton. The #3 receiver will be, so we believe, Brian Clark. He looks to be the sharpest WR of the bunch. Next to him there's Kelly Campbell, however the team ran because of him the other day. There also is Maurice Stovall, he's got the hight but he doesn't get much separation. He caught a nice ball in traffic but immediately fumbled it the other day. Sammy Stroughter is fast. I like him more than Dexter Jackson. Keep in mind that our receivers also consist of Kellen Winslow and Jeremy Stevens.

QBs.. Well Byron Leftwitch sucks. That's pretty much what we've come to conclude about him. When he throws the ball it's usually to the wrong WR; when he holds on to the ball it's too long. Just all around crappy decision maker. Josh Freeman has the arm strength and height to get that ball anywhere on the field but he's lightyears away from being an NFL QB. He made horrible decisions on reading defenses and needs to work on his touch. Josh Johnson was easily the most impressive QB. He made the best decisions, has the best technique and reads well. Luke McCowen is the guy though. Easily the best QB we have. Made smart decisions and has the experience that we need. He's the best option so far.

Ha Ha you have Byron. LOL. I feel your pain on having to watch him play. He almost looks in pause mode when he drops back and the look on his face looks like he saw a ghost. His throwing motion is so SLOW it is aggrevating. Hopefully TB makes the right decision and drops Leftwich before the season starts.

You're so right one Leftwitch having the slowest release. He's like a dear staring at headlights when there's an actual defense he's playing against. It's pretty lame. His arm looks like a windmill when he throws too. He pulls it too far back and too far up. Not a good QB.
