Bucs send TE Kellen Winslow to the Seahawks?

Winslow skipped offseason workouts and now has been told not to show up for the OTAs. when they start. Trade rumors are starting up but most teams will probably wait for Winslow to be cut. Bucs are also rumored to be looking at TE Dallas Clark.

Re: Bucs and TE Kellen Winslow on the outs?

saw this earlier today
(Rotoworld) Kellen Winslow says he's been informed by Bucs coach Greg Schiano that he's "not wanted" in Tampa Bay, and that the team will help him engineer a trade.
Analysis: Winslow says problems arose after he decided to work out on his own this offseason (as usual), even though he insists the Bucs never told him it would be an issue. In reality, Winslow was always unlikely to be back. All of the guarantees from the six-year, $36.1 million deal he signed in 2009 have been paid, while he was thoroughly un-dynamic on the field last season. Winslow likely would have been a toxic match with the hard-nosed Schiano. He'll be released if the Bucs don't find a trade partner in short order.

Can't see them lining up a trade partner after this got out

Winslow was traded to the Seahawks late Monday night for a seventh-round draft pick, the Seattle Times reports. Tampa Bay wasted little time in dumping Winslow after he got into a dispute with new coach Greg Schiano over offseason workouts. The pick could be upgraded to a sixth-round selection, thought that's still little price for the Seahawks to pay for a Pro Bowl tight end.

WOW

Not sure what I think about that. Seattle has kept the TEs back last few years. Last year was health issues on the OLine. Before that they were just bad. I think that is why Carlson left. Him and Lynch will certainly keep opposing LBs occupied

I agree, Arctic Dawgs..... It could be an interesting development if the Seahawks actually include him in the attack plan. I think the Oline is really going to that a step up this year in Seattle. A lot of potential passing productive TEs don't get the chance to run routes if they are kept in to block because of a banged up O Line.

This will depend solely on the O-line. If they can't keep the Qb on his feet, then one or both TEs(Winslow and Z.Miller) will be kept in to block as in past years. Sadly, if they can free them up, that is one heck of a one/two punch to add to support the WRs.

Seahawks send Winslow packing and pick up the Browns newly released TE Evan Moore.

Any future for Kellen now?

he has perpetual knee issues after the one accident. He could not consistantly practice. I am willing to be someone will take a shot, but not sure he will ever be more than a spot player ever again.

T.O, Ocho, Winslow....

3 names that frequented the top of the ADP list 5 or 6 years ago.

Who else have we lost for good?

Dallas Clark? Deion Branch?

It's a short life in the NFL. Best of luck to those who's moment of glory is over.

...and, Welcome to the REAL world.
