Buckhalter???

Looking to fill a flex position. My draft targeted flex is Pierre Thomas but it looks like he will be a no-go for wk 1.

I have Buckhalter and also Fred Jackson.

Jackson is playing NE and I could very much see Buffalo getting shut out in that game.

My other flex choice is Buckhalter. Do you think this guy has any chance to put up descent numbers or will it be a continuation of the Denver RB pipedream?

My crystal ball says "critical error" everytime I ask about Denver RBs, so I can't help you with Buckhalter.

I CAN tell you that I would have NO PROBLEM starting Fred Jackson vs NE.

Jackson lit them up last year, and will be relied heavily upon to try to keep that offense off of the field. Even when they fall behind, Jackson is a big part of the "no Huddle" and passing games. he is a real good flex start. The Pats aren't that good vs. the run.

OK what do you see in your crystal ball about Jackson that I don't see? I don't necessarily feel and aversion to Fred but I think Buffalo will have one of the worst offenses in the league this year. Once Brady throws a couple bombs to Moss and they get up by 17 it will be blitz city for Buffalo and not much running opportunity at that point.

I posted this above, but you posted at the same time, si I re-posted here.

Why do you think Buffalo is likely to be shut out? NE's offense has looked great in the preseason but I'm not jumping on the bandwagon that their D is still among the elite.

NE is integrating alot of newer defensive guys due to the Seymour trade and the Bruschi retirement. Couple that with what was already mentioned about the fact that Jackson will be a 3-down back until Lynch returns, and you've got your flex play. Don't forget they cut Dominic Rhodes so he doesn't have any competition at the moment.
