cbssports.com,
Denver running back Correll Buckhalter injured his left leg minutes after starting running back Knowshon Moreno was carted with a right leg injury on the Broncos' first day of training camp. Like Moreno, Buckhalter was hurt on a 7-on-7 drill and limped off the field under his own power. The team had no immediate word on the extent or nature of the injuries to Moreno or Buckhalter, though some first-hand accounts believe Buckhalter's problem was his hamstring and that it's not believed to be too serious.

Analysis: Buckhalter was expected to serve as the second back in Denver behind Moreno, but he might end up starting in place of Moreno for some weeks -- or be sidelined with an injury. We'll keep you posted on Buckhalter, who at best is a late-round flier in Fantasy drafts this summer.

Buckhalter is in the hospital

Denver running back Correll Buckhalter injured his left leg minutes after starting running back Knowshon Moreno was carted with a right leg injury on the Broncos' first day of training camp. Like Moreno, Buckhalter was hurt on a 7-on-7 drill and limped off the field under his own power. Though initial reports were that his injury wasn't serious, KDVR-TV in Denver reports that Buckhalter has been hospitalized after experiencing numbness from his left hip down to his left foot after having back pain.

Analysis: Buckhalter was expected to serve as the second back in Denver behind Moreno, but he might be sidelined depending the severity of the injury. We'll keep you posted on Buckhalter, who at best is a late-round flier in Fantasy drafts this summer so long as he's not starting and taking the majority of reps.

I see Westbrook getting involved in Washington and Shanny parting with one of the other old guys to Denver. (Likely LJ or Parker)

CBS Sports reports Denver Broncos RB Lance Ball took the majority of first-team repetitions at running back in team drills. RB Kolby Smith had been running No. 1 with RB Correll Buckhalter and RB Knowshon Moreno out but did get hit hard by OLB Elvis Dumervil, which may help explain the switch.

(KFFL) Denver Broncos RB Correll Buckhalter (stinger) has been medically cleared to return to practice, but the team likely will hold him out until Monday, Aug. 9, reports The Denver Post's Mike Klis.

Setback in Denver!

rotoworld,
Correll Buckhalter is headed to see a specialist for his back/neck injury this week.

Buckhalter returned to practice last week, but it appears that he may have suffered a setback. It's certainly not good news that he has to visit a specialist for an injury to his neck and back. The Denver Post speculates that Buckhalter could be dealing with a disc or nerve injury in his spine. The Broncos have no legitimate depth at tailback right now.
