On Mike and Mike this morning it is being reported that the Browns have talked to the Rams about moving up to the first pick to get QB Sam Bradford.

What type of package would they be able to realistically be able to put together? They have picks but also need them. From what I read Cleveland is inquiring but did not sound optimistic that it would happen due to the cost.

It is encouraging to hear that two teams are at least talking about it. But what you are saying is true. Exchange picks and a 5th??

The only thing they realistically have to offer is draft picks and maybe Shaun Rodgers for that DT that the Rams may want at #1. That way, they would also be able to snag Colt McCoy, for example, at the turn of the 2nd round.

That may not be a bad deal. Being a Detroit fan Shaun was to hit or miss (with an emphasis on the miss prior to his departure from Motown).

Oh god i hope this doesn't happen. Bradford is too good to go to Cleveland. The browns are the suck. If it did happen, Bradford would be smart by signing no longer than a year contract, ride the bench that year then high tail it out of town.

Bear with me here folks, but I am getting an Elway, Eli Manning vibe here. The fact that Bradford has publically stated he won't sign before the draft tells me he does not want to go to the Rams. He is just smart enough to not publically state it.

So the Rams need to work here. Do you take him anyway...face a long term holdout possibly....and be screwed at qb.
Or
Do you trade out...if you can, and get another qb at the right value. and get some extra picks which they desperately need.

I still say if I were the Rams....I would go Suh or McCoy or Okung at #1, and come around the bend and take McCoy and be much, much better off.

But if they can get Cleveland to move up to 1, go down to 7 and then decide Clausen or OT and still go McCoy on the turn...and get an extra pick as well...that would be solid for Rams
