Browns RB Jamal Lewis skipped Thursdays practice to get treatment on his Hammy. Don't get too excited yet as we still have practice today(fri) which is the most important. We may see more of Rookie RB James Davis this week.

I've been waiting for James Davis to take over starting duties. Hopefully he impresses this weekend and gets to keep the job.

This is the beginning of the end for J.Lewis i'm afraid. J.Davis is the Browns future and its time get him in as #1 RB and let him show what he can do.

Davis ready to go if Lewis can't
The News
According to NFL.com, Browns' rookie running back James Davis will start on Sunday if Jamal Lewis is unable to go. Lewis hasn't been able to practice this week, and Davis said he is fully recovered and ready to go.
Our View
After a huge preseason in which he nearly won the starting job, Davis could get his chance this week. Lewis is not a reliable fantasy running back, and if Davis impresses he could be in line for the majority of the carries in Cleveland.

From NFL.com: "News: Browns running back Jamal Lewis is still nursing an injured hamstring and did not practice for the third straight day on Friday. The team has yet to give an official status for Lewis. If Lewis is out, rookie James Davis and Jerome Harrison likely will split the carries against the NFL's leading defense against the run.
Analysis: Lewis wasn't a recommended Fantasy option for this game anyway as the Ravens' run defense has been rock solid. If he's out, though, we could see the Browns throw a lot, and that might mean a lot of receptions for Harrison, who is in line to help replace Lewis. He'd definitely see the work on passing downs while Davis gets in on rushing downs, especially in short yardage. Lewis is no better than a low-end No. 3 RB even if he is active for this game, but if he's out then Harrison fits in as a No. 3 RB in deeper PPR formats while Davis is worth a flier for a roster spot but not active Fantasy duty."
