Browns TE Evan Moore underwent a January hernia surgery, from which he's now recovered. A Moore has been training in California and feels "good." He also confirmed that the Browns' restricted free agent tender was of the second-round variety, an indication that he's still valued rather highly as a developmental project in Cleveland. He'll return as a role player behind Ben Watson.

interesting

(Rotoworld) Browns TE Evan Moore was split out wide on 87 percent of his 193 snaps last season. Analysis: Jimmy Graham of the Saints was second among tight ends with 58 percent of his snaps out wide. In other words, Moore is a tight end in name only. The Browns haven't officially changed his position to wide receiver, but that's the function he plays in the offense due to his poor blocking skills.

I tell you guys about the tender then RC and AD add nice nuggets about YPC and actual usage on the field. Nice Outlaw team effort to dig deeper. Evans did really put a blip on my fantasy radar screen last year.

I wonder though, how much of that was due to Moore, and how much of that was due to necessity due to poor Wr play they had? So my pique on him may be tempered if they make some splash in draft or FA to get a real Wr there.

I used to use a site to track IDP usage. Every snap. I know I put a link here somewhere to it. I'll have to try and dig it up. Pretty sure it tracked Offensive players as well
