Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno Making His Mark In Camp

Moreno has been making a strong impression during the Broncos' mandatory minicamp, the Denver Post reports. On Saturday, he took all of the snaps with the first-team offense during a no-huddle drill against the defensive starters. He ended the drive with a touchdown reception.

It's good to see his confidence extends past the Combine. I hear he's getting acquainted with a version of the Wild Cat during OTA workouts. He's a sweet pick for keeper leagues. He's been compared to Barry Sanders with his lateral quickness and elusiveness. As I said on the Khris and Ryan show a bit ago... Moreno's on my watch list.

I had 1.02 pick in my dynasty draft and really wanted K.Moreno but he went 1.01 :sadbanana: Moreno's going to be the best rookie RB.
I hate the fact that the Bronco's drafted him for obvious reason's. :thud:

I have the 1.02 this year in the Outlaw County League and I'm already looking elsewhere. Moreno's basically the consensus #1 Dynasty pick I believe.

Luckily, I have a decent young RB corps so I won't be rolling the dice on Beanie with that pick. (Hint: My WR group is shaky)

This is good news for him, i wish him all the best. Being a Bulldog fan, i enjoyed watching him play in college. Just wish he would have went somewhere else rather than Denver. Nothing against them, just not a fan of theirs at all.

Hmmm.... Rachelle, Barry Sanders?

I know it's tall order for him and I was rather shocked when I read the report. Especially since it's so early in the offseason. Some can handle the pressure of potential. We'll see if Moreno proves to be one of them.

I hope he does too.

I just had to give some grief for dropping the BS on us. :D

Yea, the Barry sanders reference is quite ludicrous. That is what we call drinking the kool-aid. Are you a partaker? With just about every rookie before the season starts there is a coach behind him talking about everything that he is excelling. Very few will tell it like it is.They aren't even in pads yet. For all that I don't like about Gruden, he had this commentary about C.Williams during his rookie year. Para-phrased quote "Let's not put this kid in canton yet, he still has along way to go." Caddy's shoes remember did make it to Canton, however unfortunately his career has a much lower ceiling than it used too and he wont have the chance. I see Moreno as the obvious #1 rookie pick, in the sense that that is who will be picked first most often. The reasons for him being #1 are obvious. Can he be very productive? you bet he can be. He is quite talented and has seemed to land as the #1 Rb on a team with an offensive minded coach. I am not sold on him being the best RB in the draft tho. I leave that to another player that I've already mentioned as such on the show. However, fantasy football is a lot about minimizing risk. Moreno doesn't carry a lot of risk on the surface which is why he's your safest option. But yea, Barry Sanders? Let me have whatever that guy was smoking.

How about halfway between Sanders and Caddy?

He's got a declining RB situation than that of his predecessors because let's face it, the days of Denver plugging in their taxi squad RB for a handful of 100-yd games/year is over. The line is a shadow of what it was, Orton is no Cutler, and this is not taking into consideration what happens if Marshall is dealt.

I'm comfortable projecting him for a rookie stat line similar to what Forte put up last year in a similar situation. I just don't know about his long-term prospects.

I can do this. :thrash:

Thank you to Coach, Ryan and Wes for proving you still have Mancards. I submitted what I considered a questionable post (from a reliable web source) to see who was awake at the keyboard. I thought ya'll would jump all over this one and call me out.

Barry Sanders? Really? Well we'll see. Moreno is good - but its way too soon to know if he's THAT good. And like Coach said today, we may never get to compare apples to apples with today's offense by committee approach.

There is no way on this green earth that Caddy & Moreno should even be in the same paragraph let alone the same sentence as thee Barry Sanders.

Sanders was a badass RB on a pitiful team and he was a one man show. Maybe Moreno might get close but Caddy is over rated and will never be considered a one man anything. IMHO

Actually Sanders did a large chunk of his damage running out of the infamous Run-n-Shoot spread offense (Mouse Davis invented it and was the coach for a time), and their line was pretty decent for most of his career.
The defense was porous, which made the overall team look bad, but that offense was lethal.
Barry's obviously a top-5 all-time RB, but wasn't always a 1-man gang.

Peyton Hillis Unsure of Role --
Sat Jul 4, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
The Arkansas Democrat & Gazette reports Denver Broncos FB/RB Peyton Hillis, whose hamstring injury from last season is completely healed, doesn't know what his role will be in the teams new offense. Hillis said he hasn't heard much more than "hearsay" about what his role in HC Josh McDaniels' system will be, but he said the uncertainty is a source of excitement rather than concern.

I think these two for a dnymomite pair, with many receptions between them.
