Broncos leave Marshall behind on road trip

SEATTLE (AP) Brandon Marshall's feud with the Broncos continues, with the disgruntled wide receiver left back in Denver while the rest of the team plays in Seattle.

A team spokesman confirmed about an hour before kickoff Saturday night that the Pro Bowl receiver is not with the Broncos for their second preseason game. Coach Josh McDaniels is expected to say why after it.

Marshall spent two days this week working almost exclusively with the scout team after saying he was nowhere near mastering the new offense.

He is upset with the Broncos over their refusal to redo his contract after consecutive 100-catch seasons or to trade him. He's also angry with their handling of his acquittal on battery charges last week.

Seems more like the end for the Broncos. They need to replace their Bronco logo with a dung beetle for the next few years because they are likely doing nothing but rolling out crap onto the field thanks to some ill timed offseason decisions.

Doogie is making a point. He's leaving behind his Pro-Bowl receiver because he doesn't know the playbook well enough to play in a pre-season game...

Sadly it sounds around here that Doogie will be keeping Marshal around as a punching dummie this season. I wish McDaniels had half the stones of Mike Tomlin who in a pre-game interview described the contract status of Willie Parker (Pro-Bowler) as simply: Put it on tape. If he plays like the Pro Bowler he is the contract will work itself out or he'll find a team that can afford him.

This just smacks of OchoStinko last year. Marshall is pushing all the buttons he can to make or force a trade. Denver won't budge. But when Marshall comes in...he won't be ready, and will probably get hurt and not produce to numbers. Just a sad state. Shut up, put on your friggen helmet and play.

Brett Favre and Brad Childress just called and said that was a lame attempt an an excuse.

Sadly, as an owner of him in two leagues I think I agree....I went into the preseason thinking he'll be like Boldin......thinking the COC reference from last year is much closer though.......he's starting to scare the hell out of me!

I unloaded him in two leagues. He's a train wreck at this point. I had been a huge supporter of Marshall through his previous messes, but this whole situation is out of control.........

Trade him Denver. Get somebody who'll play for you. Loads of teams could use him right now. They're scared because I know he's not the only one who ain't happy and they'll all be asking for trades.
