Broncos claimed RB Kolby Smith off waivers from the Chiefs.

rotoworld,
Smith has been limited to just 11 games over the past two seasons due to knee and ankle injuries. Already lacking burst, his per-carry average has dropped from 3.6 to 2.66 in those 11 contests. He could battle another injury-prone back, J.J. Arrington, for the third running back spot, but there's no fantasy potential here.

Not explosive at all, but at least he is a vet. Interesting that a division foe grabbed him as if he cleared waivers unclaimed he could have stashed on the KC practice squad. Probably will have no impact for the Broncos but grabbing him is a least good insurance in case of a training camp injury.
