NFL | Brian Westbrook working out Fri Jul 9, 12:18 AM
Unrestricted free-agent RB Brian Westbrook (Eagles) has been working out for several weeks at Athletic Dominance in Maryland, according to NFL Network. 'This is the first time he's been able to really work out fully and not feel (his previous injuries),' Minnesota Vikings TE Visanthe Shiancoe said. 'This is the first time where he's not being bothered and he's able to explode and really work out and prepare. He looks really, really fluid out there.' Westbrook indicated that he would have 'no problem' playing for the Vikings this year.

Out with Chester in with Westbrook??? It wouldn't hurt the Vikings if he came cheap. It would give them a thrid down threat receiving wise from the backfield. The question is...What's left in the tank?

I feel like Westie still has a lot in the tank but wonder how much of a hit in the head he can stand before he's knocked slam out of the NFL. I really wish he'd retire while he can still talk well enough to get a TV gig.

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
I tend to agree. The best years are behind him, on a team like the Vikings there are really only bad things that can happen as a backup (injury, etc). Retire, get in the booth as a respected stud and enjoy a couple of years talking about the game he loves.

I think thats why he isnt on a roster. Nobody wants to risk killing him.

That might well be the reason Sarge. I think he can still play and doubt the reason he hasn't signed is because teams think he's washed up. Of course we don't know what kind of money he is seeking. The longer he goes unsigned the cheaper he should be getting though.

(Rotoworld) Free agent Brian Westbrook indicated in an interview with the Washington Post that he is satisfied with his health. Analysis: "That's why I know this season is gonna be different," he continued, "because I've got time to work out, time to get in shape, time to train, time to be the best player I can be. ... This year I'm healthy. No excuses." Westbrook added that his "goal is to go to a good, quality football team that can win." The comments seem to indicate that he won't be signing with St. Louis.
