Brent Celek...Sell High?

Celek is averaging 20 points per game (in my league). I fear that McNabb's return will put an end to his outstanding numbers.

I want to move him but I'm not sure of his value.

I'd like to trade him for Greg Jennings. Jennings value is super low right now and Green Bay has some great match-ups down the road,

Does Celek carry that kind of value?

I can also trade him for Mendenhall but my RB's are gelling and I'm not sure I need him (C. Johnson, G. Coffee, K. Moreno, D. Brown, C. Taylor).

Who would you ask for in exchange for Celek?

Keep Celek. You aren't the only one who's seen what Celek can do... McNabb's been watching too.

Love the advice, guys, but you aren't answering my question.

If everyone is so high on Celek then why is it unreasonable to trade him for a Jennings?

My original question was "What (or who) is he worth?

I don't WANT to keep him.

I need WR help and I have Vernon Davis @ TE. Celek has more value right now and I think his value will decline in the next few weeks so I want to move him while he's hot (if it's worth it).

Tell me who on YOUR roster would would give for him.

Telling me to keep him doesn't answer my question.

You might could get tj whosyourmomma for him maybe Wes welker. Just look for someone who is deep at wr.

If you think you can get Jennings from another owner by all means make the offer. Once GB's OL is back together and gels Rodgers should have enough time to bring Jennings #'s back up.

I'll use my SOFFL II roster to answer your question since it will be easy enough for you to reference. I would consider giving you Petti for Celek. That is because although I like Pettigrew's potential and the fact that he is starting to be utilized, I am not sure how that will continue to develop w/ Cully stepping in.

For WR's I would give you Caldwell in a heartbeat (if I did not have 2 TE's already) and would also be open to swapping for Eddie Royal (again if I did not already have 2 TE's). There is no way I would contemplate a trade with my other Wr's and considering that is not a position that is all that strong (other than Fitz) it should give you some idea of Celek's value.

My wideouts are Calvin, Boldin, Housh, Breaston, and crayton. I would only consider my #4 and #5 for a TE in trade. You would never go for that I know. There is no way a owner will part with Jennings for him. I have Clark and that also plays against you. I am telling you to keep Celek because he is kicking butt, but most owners likely have a TE that they feel as comfortable with since you only need to start 1. Now when you start dealing with the Wr position, many times you need to start 3, and things get much trickier!

In a 10-12 man league that starts 1 TE you're not gonna get much. Everyone's pretty much already got a viable TE they don't need 2.

I probably wouldn't even consider trading for Celek unless it were some kind of multiplayer deal.

Thanks guys!!!

RC, your explanation is perfect. I could probably get as much for Davis as I could Celek based on limited demand.

I'll just throw Celek on the block and see if maybe the Olsen or Shiancoe owners are pissed enough to do something stupid.
