Brandon Marshall will not be suspended in 09

Freaking amazing. This guy is getting a huge break as even his "coincidental" off the field issues are becoming patterns. Either he likes to smack his girls around or he is the guy in the room of 1,000 women who will find the most psychotic chick possible and then fall in love with her. Either way the boy needs therapy.

Almost as great a concern is his decision to rehab his hip surgery in Florida after starting in Denver. According to locals part of it is pouting because Doogie isn't willing to extend his contract yet and the other is concern over the Bronco's training staff. The report is that Marshall was informed post surgery his injury was much more severe than team docs told him and that he should have had surgery in-season. Trust isn't floating around Dove Valley and this doesn't help much.

So if Marshall can get well he should be in line for a bunch of posession receptions making his value higher in ppr leagues.

man, does Marshall have pictures of Goodell boinking his secretary???

Great news for my HG's team, also good news for Orton's value this season. With Royal and marshall both set to go, he is a nice sleeper.

Yes. This is common knowledge amoung true fantasy football insiders. I have been saying all along that he would get no suspension, but you always doubt me.

When will you learn? :headscratch:

when did I doubt you, I don't recall us really discussing this, let along me always doubting you on this....please shed some light here.....

I did figure he would see a suspension, but don't recall doubting you on this topic directly....

I doubted you, you wanker. :homer:

You were just hoping out loud because you were trying to move him in Shula. Truth be told he got lucky. His current fiance dropped charges right after filing charges....just like his former fiance did multiple times. I'm amazed at this decision given other players getting hemmed up for conduct violation "patterns". I'm thinking Miller's theory has legs. He must have pics of Goody banging collies.

Two things:

1) Kidding around. I have stated in several threads that he wouldn't be suspended, based on the charges and how quickly they were dropped.

2) You didn't doubt me directly. Again kidding. However, you seemed to think the supension would be heavy, which I was suprised at.

Anyway, hope the kid stays out of trouble because Roger won't be so forgiving the next time...................

I did move him in Shula, but only because I wanted a third RB, not because I thought he would be suspended. I really like Marshall as a player. I don't really think he got lucky. I think Godell realized that it wasn't a situation where he could levy a suspension and not get a bunch of flack from the players union. Charges dropped immediately is a tough one to suspend someone on. Didn't have a case.................

either you and me disagree on what heavy is or you are confusing me for someone else. I have not discussed this much at all and the most I have ever stated I felt he would get is 3 games max. based on his past and the commishes past I felt he would get something, never commented if I thought he deserved it...

Anyways, no big deal, just thought it was odd to single me out when I have not discussed this much at all with you, or anyone at all. Kinda sounded like you thought we had a big discussion about this.

No big. I swore you were on the 8 game suspension rant. My mistake.........................

Actually, I believe the details are that he won't get a suspension for the March 2009 incident. The last incident he had with his ex in 2008 is still in the courts and could still result in some discipline.

And I think it's safe to say, if he ends up on the dangle, he will get something significantly stiffer than 3 games, since he's a repeat offender.
