Brandon Marshall trade?

gruntbusters

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
I've been offered S Ridley and a 1st rounder, or S Ridley and Cecil Shorts for Brandon Marshall. I am not sure where to put Ridley's value.

This is a standard scoring 10 team dynasty league in our 7th season with 35 man rosters starting 1qb, 1rb, 2 wr's, 2 OP, 3 DP, TE and a K.

Law Firm is in a one year contract, so who knows if he moves on next year. I guess it is a gamble of sorts. What do you guys think? I need a RB with higher upside than Hillis, Greene or Blount.

is there a salary cap or years limitation in this league? Is the team you are trading with going to give you a top of the first pick or bottom of the first pick? I would not give up marshall unless there are cap/years involvement or if the team you are trading with sucks and this will be a top 3 pick.

This is a trade with a contender in this league and the pick would end up being a 2013 1st rounder most likely in the bottom half (7-10). No salary cap or time limitation in this league.

Thanks Mud...wasn't sure if Ridley is the next coming there or not with BGE potentially leaving at the end of the year. Think they draft one?

If I'm reading this correctly, you guys have some man love for Marshall. He's 27 this year and I probably won't be contending for at least two more years, putting him at 29, so he's someone I figure that has value now and I could move for a guy to fill my glaring RB need and potentially some young talent in the draft.

You only start 1 RB so you dont really have a GLARING need there. Do you still own your own 1st round pick for next season? If you get a top pick you may consider trading it in the offseason for a stud RB for someone who is weak at qb. Hell if i was weak at qb in this 10 team league i would give up 2 rbs to get a Luck caliber qb for his whole career.

Yeah that's been the strategy for several. I do not have my 1st rounder next year. I traded it for Hillis in the off season (ugghh).
