The St. Louis Rams have named No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford as the Week 1 starter when the team opens at home against the Arizona Cardinals.
Bradford, who won the 2008 Heisman with the Oklahoma Sooners, will be under center in a meaningful game for the first time since last October when he was injured in a Sooners loss to rival Texas.
During a 3-1 preseason campaign for the Rams, Bradford went 33-55 for 338 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
