Bowe gets a new contract

At the last moment the Chiefs and Dwayne Bowe reached a contract agreement for a five year deal. Details have not been released but it believed to be for more then $11M per year.
 
A lot of dough, but guess they believe in the Smith to Bowe connection...................

well if they let him walk......who else did they have? If they want to build this team up, they need to start by keeping the talent they do have. Bowe is a good talent, Reid now has to find a way to get the most out of him.

Gotta agree. They have Charles, and now Bowe. They have to have some tools for A.Smith to work with. Hopefully they rebuild the line to protect Smith so he can get the ball to Bowe and use charles' talent. Would love to see a bruiser back here too, say Turner or some such to take heavy load from Charles so he can be the explosive Rb we used to love again.
 
The Chiefs need a lotta help PhiCin and I think you nailed the area they need to start with and that's the O line.
 
Here's the news on Bowe's deal from rotoworld.
The five-year contract Dwayne Bowe signed with the Chiefs Tuesday is worth a total of $56M and contains $26M in guarantees.
It's a highly favorable contract for Bowe. He got $15M in a signing bonus, giving him $36M over the first three years of the pact. It's a tick richer than the five-year, $55.555M deal Vincent Jackson got from the Bucs last year.

reid loves his vets, especially at the core positions. Not surprised they overpayed to keep Bowe.
