Boldin has lost a step?

rotoworld,
The Cardinals' coaches believed that Anquan Boldin had lost a step, according to beat writer Kent Somers.

All the leg injuries Boldin has played through over the last few years have taken their toll, but does it really matter? Boldin will be asked to go over the middle and make physical catches in traffic. There's not huge upside here, but the veteran remains a strong bet for 80+ catches and 1,000+ yards.

Uh...no. Isn't that Mason's job? Who by the way got re-signed by Baltimore?!?!?

I wondered about this move, a little. I live Boldin, but to me Mason and Boldin were the same type of Wrs. Still, if Stallworth can be worth a damn, and pull coverage deep, they might be fine to co-exist.

Hmmm...so the only source of info is from the Cardinals coaches. The same Cardinals that Boldin had beef with and demanded trades from for the last 3 years. The same Cardinals that rushed Boldin back into the lineup after fracturing his jaw despite the fact that they had a more than capable Steve Breaston to fill the spot because they couldn't do without his production. The same Cardinals that are probably perturbed about their starting QB retiring and leaving the huge question mark called Matt Leinart to run the show.

Yeah, I can't see any reason why they would have any bias when assessing the abilities of a player that is no longer on their roster.:stirpot:
