The early diagnosis on Bills rookie OT Ed Wang's leg injury is a high ankle sprain. If this report is true that is good news as it gives Wang a shot at being ready for the start of Training Camp

One of the few times I've heard high ankle sprain and good news in the same sentence but compared to a possible broken ankle I understand the thought.

 I know, during the season it usually means you are screwed for 6-8 weeks. Not only that but the teams usually lie and say the player will be back early making you jump through last minute lineups hoops with Game Time Decisions every week after week two. Inconsiderate Bastages.

Chan Gailey indicated that the injury sustained by rookie OT Ed Wang in Saturday's practice could jeopardize his season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter categorized it as a knee injury, though Profootballtalk.com and the National Football Post both have sources insisting it's a high ankle sprain.

We probably will know more Sunday when the actual results of an MRI are known. The actual news was he was carted off the field and results of an MRI won't be available until Sunday. But nowadays the news game is which news source can correctly guess the injury first. It's bad enough that teams try and keep us in the dark about injuries. Now, our sports news sources race to guess first about an injury.
