Bills Expect Hardy and Johnson To Compete for the #2 WR Spot

Bills GM Buddy Nix said he'd "like to find out about" WRs James Hardy and Steve Johnson as possibilities to start opposite Lee Evans this year.

This is just a heads up on what to watch for in Training Camp. Most of the big WR free agents are moved. This could change a bit in The Bills invest a high pick at WR. It's been awhile since any Bills #2 has made a real fantasy impact but you dynasty owners may want to watch this battle.

That he did...... But this is an aerial offense now. Make or break year??

Actually R. Johnson had a heck of a camp last year. Showed some real flashes in pre-season. Could be a heck of a sleeper for Buffalo. Hardy HAS to perform though...they wasted a pretty high pick for him.

rotoworld,
James Hardy is expected to win the Bills' No. 2 receiver competition, according to the Buffalo News.

Hardy may very well be in the lead right now, but he is a long way from sewing the job up. The 2008 second-round pick will have to fight off Steve Johnson, Chad Jackson and rookie Marcus Easley in training camp. And with the Bills' miserable quarterback/offensive line situation, it's hard to be too excited about the winner anyway.

rotoworld,
Steve Johnson was lined up as the starter opposite Lee Evans for the second time this week during Wednesday's practice.

It's a reminder that James Hardy hasn't come close to nailing down the No. 2 job yet. Johnson and even Chad Jackson and rookie Marcus Easley will have a chance to impress coaches in training camp.
