Ok thats hilarious....they pushed out Temple who seems to have gotten things in order and now they want them back.

The Big East needs to die.

I think the Big East will fall sooner than later. With Pitt/Syracuse(Not only the big football programs, but also lose the basketball programs) already gone and TCU not coming over , all its going to take now is for WV or Louisville to depart and it would crumble. Think WV is the only thing holding it together right now. And the teams they are talking about bringing in doesnt really help their cause i think. They will still be a 3rd rate conference imo. Im thinking they will merge eventually with another conference, BUT WHO? Kinda thinking conference usa as teams there are representing alot of interest in the Big East.

The ACC, SEC, and Big 12 hold the Big East's fate. If the SEC stops at 13, the ACC at 14, and the Big 12 at 10 (or a 12 with Houston and BYU), then the Big East should survive. If the Big East loses UConn and Rutgers to the ACC; Cincy, Louisville, and West Virginia to the Big 12, then they are finished as a BCS conference and will probably regress into a NE conference with teams like UMass, Temple, and Villanova.

I think conference usa will become a factor in here soon. Just cant see the SEC staying at 13 for next year. It just makes no sense as its an unequal number. Heard Missouri is stuck in the big 12 for at least another year so they are not much of an option to the SEC now. And besides the way they are playing now they would become UK and Vandys little bitch. LOL. Either the ACC or SEC is going to make a move here soon. Then it will look like the big east will crumble and nobody knows yet where those pieces will fall.

The era of four 16 team super-conferences is coming. Book it. The Big East needs to realize its natural destiny as a basketball conference, and select their new members accordingly. As for TCU, I understand that the Big (ahem) 12 would be more appealing geographically, but they're just the proverbial deck chair on the Titanic if they're trying to land in Super Conference, as the Big 12 will be no more help than the Big East.

Things have really quieted down about any moves anywhere here lately. Seems after Missouris little fiasco and now looking like they have to stay at least another year, that seemed like a turning point on the moves. Still think the SEC will make another move but not sure where from now. Looking like from the Big East, maybe.
