Wasnt anywhere near a computer for this game, but figured there would be more discussion. Texas was facing a very possible upset here, given that Nebraska had been playing lights out and they were the worst possible matchup for Texas. I was worried about an upset here, just glad to see the Longhorns survive.

It's been a tough year for Texas. Sure, they are undefeated, but this team lost all of their legit tight ends before the season started to injury, and that has all but eliminated the running game. Colt McCoy has managed to lead this one sided offense all the way through the Big12 now, and that is a major accomplishment.

To be fair Nebraska has really been playing it's best ball on the last month or so. Texas on the other hand has relied heaily on it's defense/special teams to win games. Colt McCoy showed some poor decision making last night with three interceptions, and a last second throw out of bounds that almost cost them the game. As usual the defense played their hearts out and only allowed two field goals in the first half. when Texas faces off against Alabama it will be a different story all together. Alabama has the high powered offense to score over forty points a game and hold opponents to under twenty. Texas better buckle down and find a way to get the offense clicking or it could turn ugly very quickly in the BCS Championship game.

Hook em Horns
Role Tide

May the best team win.

Relying on defense...sounds awfully SECish.... I think Mack put it best last night when he said if this had been the SEC championship game everyone would be talkinga bout how beautiful it was. I take NOTHING from Nebraska. They should have been every bit of 11-1 coming into the game. They flushed it against Iowa State and Virginia Tech, which is simply the growing pains of a young team. Bo Pelini is doing a fabulous job up there.

McCoy played exactly like a guy who hadnt been there before, and that is exactly what it was. I expect a better showing against Alabama.

Yes it could. I believe this is still a game where Texas has everything to gain and Alabama has everything to lose. Especially after last night, no one will expect the Horns to stand up against the mighty SEC Champion.
I question if McCoy has the heart and the mind to beat the Tide. I know the rest of the team does, but he cant put the defense in those kind of spots.
