ESPN reports veteran free-agent RB Ladell Betts has signed with the New Orleans Saints. Betts immediately should fit into a backfield rotation with RB Pierre Thomas and RB Reggie Bush. While Thomas and Bush likely will share the bulk of the carries, Betts likely will take on the role of the big back and get some carries in goal-line and short-yardage situations.
