The Bengals have released Coles, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Opens the door for a Free Agent WR??

I guess he didn't fill the TJ role after all.............

I admire Coles for the toughness he showed after the toe injury robbed him of much of his speed. He put together some good years as a pint sized possession receiver. He'll catch on somewhere at the right price............

I agree with you e! Maybe the Titans if they don't do something dramatic.

see ya! Poor hands (which I still don't understand, he used to be able to catch), no burst, lazy routes.....just not worth it! Guess there is a benefit to a non-capped year, you can cut dead weight without worrying about the cap hit.

I know the likely hood of this happening is slim to none, but Cincy radio are having fun speculating about Brandon Marshall. said this right after the season, I would LOVE this! He is better than anything you will draft at the 21 spot.

Yep. You get a sure thing (performance wise). A top 5 receiver talent wise with three straight years of 100 catches. You're taking the chance that he might slap one of his women around and be suspended for the season, but I have the feeling that is behind him. Maybe playing for a African-American coach would help in the other areas of his acting out.

Giving up the number 21 pick for a 25 year old stud receiver would be a steal. Christ, I would have no issue with SF giving up the 13 pick. WR isn't a big area of need for them, but man, he is such a proven player and eliminates the risk of getting value for that pick. They would still have the 17 pick to address the RT position and this draft is supposed to be very deep at DB, so they can address that area in the 2nd and 3rd rounds..........

This won't happen but fun to speculate.

It makes sense as i posted in another thread. There is rumor they are looking at Wr in first round. I would much rather have Marshall, than Tate or some other rookie....unless the world blew up and Bryant fell.

I agree Phic, if you are going to use the #1 on a WR, I would much rather have Marshall.

Cincy News reporting that the Bengals either will or have talked to T.O. Stay tuned...this could really get interesting....

it could turn into an end zone dance competition . . . lol . . . do we really want that in this league . . . lol . . . ;)

Why not just pony up for Marshall?
Isn't a young diva with baggage much more preferable to an old diva with baggage??
