Bengals and Rams make a trade

Bengals send DT Orien Harris to the Rams for Brian Leonard Rb.

This is an interesting move. Leonard can play either TB or FB, and was highly sought in the draft two years ago.

My guess is...you may be seeing the backup for Benson here...if the kid can stay healthy.

I would guess he would play more FB then TB. I believe he had one pretty good game while he started in St. Louis when Jackson was out injured. The rest were pretty uninspired and there's probably a reason Pittman overtook him as the #2 on that team.

Is it possible that this kid is the new FB?
Potentially. But I doubt it. They fully intend to put a road grader at FB this year, which is why they re-signed Jerremy Johnson and drafted the two horses they drafted. With three fulbacks on the roster already, and 4 Tes...my guess is he will be used at TB, not FB.

But then again...Cincy isn't known for its logic ;)

About the first move the Bengals have made that I like. Leonard adds nice versatility, as well as solid special teams play. I'll be interested to see if Bernard Scott can stick.

man, Cincy has been active of late. Can't say I even knew who the hell Orien Harris was so I like the move. However, I don't see him being brought in as a true back-up at HB...more of a tweener. ST's ace, FB/H-Back in some passing situations. Can move to TB is needed in a pinch. What he does is adds a lot of flexibility. I think you are seeing a shift in offensive mentality in Cincy from the 3/4 WR sets they have used so ofen in recent years to more run oriented formations using TE's, H-Backs, and FB's much more often.

Nice risk free move.

You know, I'm pretty sure of two things in this world.

Cincy will suck. and make awful decisions.

and Miller will take it

make that three things

According to reports, Bengals have plans for him as their third down back. Kind of interesting...but love the move. He is a great reciever, good up field runner, and he can block. A great tool to keep in and protect Carson if there is a blitz.....or a great dump off threat.

I wonder what the heck is going on in Cincy....they are actually making some very nice moves here lately.............dunno:

A few years ago maybe. After all that shoulder surgery, you start by hoping he even makes it to the final roster. I'm hoping for him to.

I know nothing about the guy but the way i look at it, anything Cincy does has to be an improvement over last year. I have always liked Cincy, best helmets and when Boomer was QB they were fun to watch. I watched the draft or more like kept up with it after watching Jags stupid picks, and don't get me started on the roster moves they have done since the end of last year, LOL, anyways, i can't remember if it was Cincy or Cleveland but one of them had a pretty good draft. I was most impressed by Detroit though, they might actually win a game this year. They will definitly score some points.
