Been away from football along time how did I do in the Draft?

I grew up in LA and my family was all Rams fans they moved away when I was in the 8th grade and everyone jumped ship to the 49ers because they were good... The exact reason I always hated them, so I became a fair weather Cowboys fan during those mid to late 90s mostly out of spite so I could root against the 49ers. After Aikman, Smith, Irving, Sanders and the like were gone I lost interest in NFL football.

Now the guys I work with started a 12 man league and I was invited so here's my draft results How badly did I do? (I had the 1st overall pick)

My current starters :
QB Brett Favre, Min QB

RB Cedric Benson, Cin RB
RB Chris Johnson, Ten RB

Flex Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB?

WR Chad Ochocinco, Cin WR
WR Hines Ward, Pit WR?

TE Brent Celek, Phi TE

D/ST Cowboys D/ST, Dal D/ST
K Rob Bironas, Ten K


My Bench:
Texans D/ST, Hou D/ST
Eli Manning, NYG QB
Laurence Maroney, NE RB
Willis McGahee, Bal RB
Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ WR?
Chaz Schilens, Oak WR
Jeremy Shockey, NO TE


I'm considering starting Jerricho Cotchery over, Hines Ward, or Brandon Jacobs... Also considering starting Eli vs Carolina Def over Farve vs New Orleans Def in week 1. What do you all think?

Not bad. Rb is an issue if you have an injury as I am not a fan of Maroney, and Jacobs may be #2 in NYG land now.

Cotchery early is a solid start. However, once Santonio Holmes comes back in week 5, you may lose value for Cotchery.
 
Chaz Schilens, Oak is likely to have surgery soon so listen for news on that front. I would start Manning over Farve especially if the Vikes WR situation continues to look as poorly as it does today.
