Arizona Running Backs...Will you get bit again?

Raise your hand if you've been blistered by an Arizona RB in the past couple of years :hiya:

"Hightower is a stud" "Beanie is a beast" BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Truth is, since Warner left there aren't many Cardinals worth owning and when he was there, there weren't many Cardinals RBs worth owning.

Now the Red Heads dead heads pool deepens.

Hightower is healthy and presumed to return to Az. Wells is healthy and presumed to return to Az. Smith-Wesson (or whatever his name is) is healthy and presumed to return to Az.

Now we have rookie Ryan Williams. "Hightower and Wells rolled into one", is what I've read....Rolled into one what?...One dismal failure?

"That's right folks, now you can be disappointed and it will only cost you ONE roster spot!"

CBS' advice is: Take a flier on Hightower in the late rounds...Take a flier on Wells in the late rounds...Take a flier on Stubben-Harquest in the late rounds of leagues that award return yards...and...Draft Williams in the first round of rookie drafts.

Seriously, is there any reason to think that Williams will bring a ground game to Az?

Pick the Arizona RB that YOU think will have fantasy impact.
 
I have a feeling Wells could be on his way out of Arizona one way or another. I could be wrong, but that is my gut feeling.

Overall, unless they get a real QB, none of them will be great......but Hightower is always a nice ppr value late. Williams could turn out to be a gem, but I'm proceeding with caution with him. Cautiously optimistic.

I like Williams to take over and has the skills to be a stud. Williams is a top 5 pick in dynasty rookie drafts. Like Miller said, with no QB, none will be great.
 
I too agree with Miller, if they don't get the QB fixed, the rb won't matter.

That being said, in a dynasty league, the ONLY rb I am looking at is Williams. You don't take a back in the 2nd round to just look at. I think Wells is gone, and Hightower will get some looks in ppr.

In redraft, I would take a late flyer on both Williams and Hightower. but no where near where most will take them.
 
Some good points, a couple could end up being useful. But as Phicinfan said somebody else will grab them earlier than you should feel comfortable with doing.
