Anquan Boldin : Your Current Assesment

Boldin has been a rising fantasy star in recent years. He has been a #2 WR that has put up elite numbers. We have gotten to the point where we draft him before many # 1 WRs and that has worked out pretty good. When he is healthy he is that good.
Ah, but there is a trend developing that suggests that he will spend time dinged up and, of course, be less than spectacular when he is hurt. He seems to have down time every year now and you could say this may be an unsettling trend.

He has done very good this year, top 25 right now, still better than some #1s. Last year he was a top 10 Wr. Yet, he has been dinged up and questionable a lot, does that worry you. We know he is tough and will play even with a broken jaw if needed. Is this just a worry you expect/accept with Boldin?

So tell me what you think. #25 right now. Does he slide up during the second half of the season or does he hang around at #25?

I think he rises IF he and the Cards play his injuries correctly. Boldin is one of the best recieverd this generation has seen, and he can still produce tremendously. No one can argue that. However, if he's hurt, sit him. Let him get healthy, because a healthy Boldin will catch 10 balls for over 150 yards and 2+ TDs, in one week.

I question the extent of his injuries this season. I don't question his toughness or ability to play through and injury, just question whether he really wants to play and risk injury this year. He wants to be traded. he said it before the season started, and i don't know if he is really putting himself on the line to risk and injury that would hamper his chance at the payout he feels he deserves. If they continue hot, and roll into the playoffs, i feel he magically gets healthy quick, and impacts things.

Call me a sceptical owner.

I think RC hit the nail on the head. We aren't getting the best that Boldin can be right now for whatever reason you care to call it.

Have you all forgotten how disgruntled this dude was/is in Arizona. I'm pretty sure that has something to do with his willingness to sacrifice his body while playing with pain.
