Amari Spievey: Starter of the Lions in 2011?

Article on Amari Spievey talking about it looking like he'll be the full time starter next year with C.C. Brown gone.. (thank god!)

How do you feel about Spievey as the starter alongside Delmas? He's really not that fast - but he seems to have good instincts and tackles well.

I personally would like to see him be the starter next year - so that we can focus and free agency money or draft picks on linebackers, cornerbacks, a wide reciever, and offensive line...

He was drafted as a CB, so he should have enough speed as a safety. I think he was okay last year as a rookie learning a new position, but wish he would have panned out at CB. Was probably the best we had opposite Delmas at safety, due to lack of talent there. Would not mind if they drafted Shiloh Keo out of Utah in the 5th round after taking care of the other positions you mentioned.
