Vick got a job offer!

If he cannot get reinstated by the NFL, the Albany Firebirds, an arenafootball2 franchise, have offered the 28-year-old quarterback a one-year contract at the league standard:

$200 a week plus a $50 bonus for a win.

The catch?

The Firebirds’ contract offer requires that Vick donate $100,000 to a local humane society.

that's pretty funny.....we'll give you a job, but you have to pay a charity for us to do so.....memo to the retarded GM of the Albany Firebirds......he in in the middle of a bankruptcy filing!!!! Mike Vick is damn broke.....don't think that will be deemed as acceptable by the bankruptcy court judge, or seen as good will be the people who he owes money....

I really hope there was a typo somewhere in there.

You are more mad at him for funding a dogfighting ring than for actually abusing a dog himself? So, you're telling me that if I beat a dog with a baseball bat, its ok.....but, if I pay someone else to do it, it's not?

Your reading too much in between the lines here. What he did was wrong, no matter what way anybody looks at it. He funded it and gave them a place to carry it all out. So in junction to what your saying it would be like, he bought the baseball bat , put it in anothers hands and used that guy like a puppet to beat the dog.

To clarify I was chased by a giant german shepard as a young child and made me run crying to my mom. I have held a grudge ever since against the entire race of canines... Well with the possible exception of Hobbes (my sons 1st dog an English bulldog) but not Shiloh (his 2nd/current dog - a stupid scardy cat beagle who would have been enrolled in Vicks dog academy if it was not shut down based on a few unfounded allegations that some of the dogs were bullying the underclassmutts)
