David Akers Could Remain in NFC East --
Mon May 16, 2011 --from FFMastermind.com
The Trenton Times reports PK David Akers may not have to look outside of the NFC East for a new home, a division he helped the Eagles dominate from the time he started kicking for them in 1999. Dallas and Washington are both looking to upgrade their kicking game and the Giants, while not as desperate as the other two, are known to have people in the organization who really like Akers. The Cowboys went with PK David Buehler last year, who connected on 75 percent of his field goals and missed two extra points. As Dallas looks to get back to the top of the NFC East, a consistent kicker such as Akers could help that cause. Washington PK Graham Gano had the lowest percentage of made field goals at a 68.6 percent clip, and you know Redskins owner Dan Snider is never afraid to spend money on a proven commodity, and Akers is about as proven as it gets from a kicking standpoint. There would be some irony in Akers going back to the place where his NFL career started.

This has Jerry written all over it! .....also sounds like a bidding war with Snyder! lol! Akers wins!
