Addai's last season as a Colt?

rotoworld,

Colts beat writer Mike Chappell would be "surprised" if Joseph Addai is re-signed after this season.

Addai is set to hit free agency in 2011 and the Colts have 2009 first-rounder Donald Brown waiting in the wings. Addai has averaged just 3.66 yards per carry over the last two seasons and broken very few big plays. The Colts may give Brown more work this season to make sure they're comfortable letting Addai walk.

(nfl.com)The official team website for the Colts reports that RB Joseph Addai is hoping to improve in 2010. Addai, the Colts' leading rusher the last four seasons and a starter each of the past three, rushed for 828 yards and 10 touchdowns on 219 carries and had three touchdowns receiving and one passing last year. Addai said he believes that entering his fifth season, improvement not only remains possible, but is something he continues to do. "I feel like I'm getting better," Addai said. "Practice, you think of boot camp or whatever, but it's not like that. It's a learning experience. You want to come out here and do the small things and work hard. It's not, 'Oh, we're trying to kill you,' or things like that. You get tired, but it's not trying to beat you up. It's none of those things. It's not a bad thing to be here, and I don't feel like, 'Oh, if it was up to me, I wouldn't be here."

Analysis: Addai will continue to share carries with Donald Brown this season, but Addai still has plenty of value. He also has extra motivation since he's entering a potential contract year. We like Addai as a solid No. 2 Fantasy RB, and he's worth drafting as early as Round 3 or 4 in all leagues.

He's been counted out before but somehow he keeps on keeping on.

The Colts are notorious for not resigning RBs. Dickerson, Faulk, James. All Hall of Famers or soon to be Hall of Famers. Addai is no different other than he won't be a Hall of Famer. Their philosophy is they can always get a good runner and make him be great as long as Manning is there.

 they didn't draft Brown for no reason. You know this is the final run...unless he is willing to take a whole lot less.

We cut him loose in HAFAX for a high pick and cash. If youre his dynasty owner, this is the year to move him.
