ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Green Bay Packers and QB Aaron Rodgers getting closer to long-term contract extension that would make Rodgers the highest-paid player in NFL history.

My view on Rodgers is he is a very good QB. Some argue last season was even better than his MVP season, and I just don't see it. He couldn't WILL the victory last year, or the game winning drive like the year before. The window on the Pack is closing (this window), and i feel he can take them to and through another window. I just don't think last season separated him that much from a handful of other QB's. (maybe missing a thumb)

Jordan Rogers is in this year's draft (QB Vanderbilt).

There is some buzz that the Packers will take him late.

Best scene in one of my favorite movies. The look on Matt Damons face when the thugs started towards him was classic.

If anyone deserves it, it's Rodgers. IMO, the best QB in the game hands down. They need to work on their OL though so he doesn't keep taking the hits.

I agree, the man should get paid. I heard they are talking a deal around 25m a yr....thatseems much higher than market....but hell , if u are going to pay Flacco 20, guess 25 for Rodgers is about right.

How much will Aaron have to give up to put his little bro on a roster?

We have seen this before, Carson got the Bengals to keep Jordan Palmer around as a 3rd stringer for a few years, hell Jordan was actually still there when he bailed.

Which is why owners only have themselves to blame for this. Ravens teed in up for Rodgers and company. "$18,000,000 a year? Well, Flacco is getting 20 million a year. Are you saying Flacco is better than I am"?

Okay, so you have one of the best Qbs playing, don't think anyone disagrees with that here. So you give him a huge contract that will only hurt the team in the long run....what a mess this is going to have on Gb.
