Bengals LT Andrew Whitworth has shed nearly 30 pounds this offseason and is down to 320.
The Benglas Andrew Whitworth has lost a whopping 30 pounds in the off season and is down to 320 lbs. Whitworth is quoted as saying he wanted to feel lighter and to feel better about himself. This should certainly help him reach those two personal goals. Already rated as one of the best pass blocking LT in the league the added speed can only help him continue to shine this season.
Then there's this news.
NYG Martellus Bennett TE has blown up to 291 from 265. TE Coach Mike Pope has said of Bennett that he's too heavy for his legs to carry him around. Martellus has been skipping practices nursing hamstring problems so far this season. Duh!
Indeed this is a tale of two tails.
Didn't Oakland once have a QB who ballooned up in the same Goodyear Blimp sort of way? Just saying...
