A Flurry Of QB Changes/ Are You Scrambling For A New QB?

Hill was my Roethlisberger bye week replacement in one league. I had Hill on my roster for that job. Of course, in the usual theme of fantasy football mayhem he loses his job the week before I need him. So, I spent a couple of days holding my breath to see if I had gotten Alex Smith in the Waiver Wire Lotto. I did get him and am hoping he can put together a decent effort in Bens' absence.

While most of the QBs in question usually are relegated to backup status in most 8, 10, 12 team formats. But in some large leagues you may have been using Collins as a situational starter. So, have these changes sent you scrambling for a new Backup? What's your WW look like and who did you have to get? Maybe you have been forced to, gasp, make a trade?

I got Orton super cheap in the draft as my back up, so I'm pleased with that.

I am not pleased that he faces Baltimore for the game I need him.

Gotta run with Orton, though cuz the wire has all the same trash that's on everyone's wire, I assume. Boller, Russell, Delhomme etc.

Vince Young and Alex Smith are still out there so there hasn't been a mad dash to pick up the new starters.

In my other League, I used Campbell vs KC as my bye week replacement and he netted me 1 fantasy point.

I made a late grab of Alex Smith in the SUDFFL. I drafted Carson as the starter, but my back up Qbs have been awful. I have had no luch there. So I was able to grab Stafford last week, and Smith this week. I will go with Smith since I know he is starting...and hope that Stafford doesn't start and explode vs. an Awful St. Louis team.
