A big year ahead for Dwayne Bowe?

nfl.com,
The Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs are hoping for a rebound year out of WR Dwayne Bowe. Last year, Bowe arrived for offseason work overweight. He was benched for a time during the preseason for failing to work as hard as coach Todd Haley preferred. And he was suspended for four games last year for violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. "Dwayne Bowe is moving into the critical stage of his young career," Haley said. "You have to make a jump if you want to be talked about with certain receivers. (Last season) was a difficult year for him in a lot of ways between the suspension and him coming into the offseason a little out of shape. He's a guy we're all talking to on a pretty consistent basis to continue to make sure he understands ... that we don't have a lot of backsliding. I know his mind's in the right place. He wants to be a top receiver, and now it's going to be up to him. (Bowe must) put everything into it to be a top receiver. I do think understanding what's expected is a big item for Dwayne Bowe. I don't doubt he has the skill to be a top receiver. He just needs to do it on a full-time basis."

To me Dwayne has under preformed every season that he's been in the NFL. Perhaps I expected to much out of him coming out of college. Maybe, just maybe this is the year that Dwayne Bowe lived up to my lofty expectations. One can hope can't they?

Bowe is bragging about himself and fellow K.C. players having many females contacted from Face Book going to the K.C. team hotel when the Chiefs were in town playing the Chargers last season and has angered many of his teammates

I heard to today on the Sirius NFL channel during one of the shows, of course this has nothing to do with his on field performance but does bring to light that he is an idiot for not keeping his big mouth shut about extra curricular activity as his judgment is severely clouded

Nice intel, guys. Bowe is a bit of a question mark and slighty risky but has decent upside. He is not really on my draft target list of guys that I am hot to draft at Wr. But he is high on that list of Wrs that I may end up drafting when everybody grabs the player I like in the picks before mine.

Nice definition of the guy Coach. I'm certainly not going after him but when he's lolly gagging around in the middle rounds he could be a nice pick-up.

Dwayne Bowe has responded to remarks made by head coach Todd Haley a week ago and seems to be focused on football and not the eyebrow-raising comments he made to ESPN about life on the road. Bowe has had some strong OTA practices this week, including on Thursday when he dominated in red-zone drills, according to the official team website. Bowe caught two touchdowns from QB Matt Cassel over six snaps, including one where he leaped high in the air and came down with the ball in bounds.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe may be entering a make-or-break season with the Chiefs, reports Kent Babb, of The Kansas City Star. Bowe has to produce and keep quiet this year, as some of his teammates have already begun rolling their eyes at his antics.

OUR VIEW

Bowe self glossed himself 'D-Show' but he's been far from a hit so far during his pro career. This is certainly a make or break year for him, and he could be the next Roy Williams (super talented underachiever) if he doesn't start playing up to his potential.
