Okay, every year we see anywhere from 4-6 HC moves, or HC/GM moves.
Who will it be this year.....lets take a look.
Well as we have one move already completed, lets start with the NFC West.
NFC West:
LA Rams - Jeff Fisher out - who is in?? I know some are thinking Harbaugh back from NCAA Michigan, but I am not sure he wants to leave. Yes, he was a very successful NFL coach, but he by all reports rankled with high priced players and can't have the total control he will want. Fassel stepping in is an interesting story, being the son of former Giants HC Jim Fassel. Still, the next Coordinators to be looked at are probably Kyle Shannahan, or maybe OC from NE will get a second shot. - Sean McVey former OC of Washington has been hired as HC, he is the youngest HC in history at 31.
Arizona - this one intrigues me, I think the Ariens is safe, but he has had two major health scares.....so keep an eye out here.
Seattle - no change
San Francisco - I think Kelly is safe for another year. Kelly out, still interviewing, GM out as well.
NFC South:
Atlanta - haven't faded like last year, and in line for playoffs - Quinn is safe
New Orleans - not a great year, but I don't see a change here.
Carolina - no changes
Tampa Bay - Koetter is safe
NFC North:
Green Bay - if not for the late season resurrection, I might have said this is a spot for change. McCarthy has been there quite a while, and the team seems to be stagnating some. But I think he is safe.
Detroit - Playoffs baby - no change
Minnesota - Safe
Chicago - Fox may be in trouble. But I wonder if they give him another year, with a QB of HIS choosing, as I think Cutler is gone next year. No change - fox retained
NFC East:
Dallas - pfft saved by Dak and Elliot
Washington - No change, and give Gruden some credit on turning this team around. But they have to decide if Cousins is the Qb they want long term.
N.Y. Giants - no change
Philadelphia - no change
AFC East:
New England - Bill is safe...
Miami - Gase has made it better, needs to finish O-line fix and is Tannehill his Qb long term
Buffalo - Gut tells me Rex is gone. Rex fired - New HC will be McDermott DC of Carolina
N.Y. Jets - I am wondering if he stays or goes, I think this one is a caution flag. -No change
AFC North:
Pittsburgh - No change
Baltimore - No change
Cleveland - No change - yes they give him more time to fix the issues.
Cincinnati - Wow, this one is tough. If it were my decision, I would say time to move on. But like him or not, Marvin has a great relationship with the owner Mike Brown, and his kids who are slowly taking over, and he had done a phenomenal job overturning this roster. But my gut says its time for a change. Wonder if they just move Marvin to GM.... - No change
AFC South:
Houston - issue isn't coach as much as player decisions like Osweiller. Safe for now.
Indianapolis - team is still a mess, but seems to be competing, I say one more year.
Tennessee - No change
Jacksonville - No way he stays. Gus Bradley needs to go, and this program needs a refresh. - Bradley fired, Coughlin hired as VP of football operations, Marone hired as new HC.
AFC West:
Denver - safe - HC retires - new HC is Vance Joseph former DC of Miami
KC - Safe
Oakland - Safe
San Diego - Mike McCoy is in a world of hurt here. 5-8 is not going to cut it. Rivers doesn't have much time left, but at least Gordon has finally shown value. Young Wrs and Te are starting to blossom. Defense needs more help as does the O-line. He may get a year, but I think he has to be shaking in his boots just now. - McCoy fired, Anthony Lynn former OC of Buffalo is officially hired
So, by my count that is 4 I am betting will change, and 2 more that probably change. That gets us to 6, which has been the average the last few years.
